About us
60’s
Founded in 1961 by Luciano Peroni after experience gained in the sector since 1950. The company’s plant equipment included 4 solvent impregnation lines, a multi-compartment press with 10 compartments, mixers and resin preparation reactors, a distillation plant for the reduction of process solvents and a modern chemical laboratory. It should be noted that in these years the production of the first glass fabric and epoxy resin laminates began.
70’s
In addition to the production of Bakelite, Bakelite canvas and epoxy glass laminates, the production of the first structural reinforcements began, made both as sheets and as prepregs, particularly interesting for the manufacture of skis and for the first accessories of the car racing and multisport departments.
Since 1977, particular productions were introduced capable of satisfying severe demands for the protection industry, guaranteeing very high multi-sector ballistic protection (for example for the protection of offices, vehicles, airplanes, etc.). Also in this case, the need to create highly performing but very low weight materials had driven the creation of numerous prototypes and multiple test campaigns.
80’s
Continuous research in the automotive sector had led to the use of the most advanced production technologies with composite materials from the racing departments up to the production intended for the road and supercar market.
In this panorama, the first production of pre-preg with carbon fiber fabrics began. Some particularly important developments for the automotive industry were hybrid pre-pregs based on particular carbon-aramid fabrics.
90’s
The electrical transformer industry had expressed the need to be able to reinforce some types of machines made with CAST RESIN technology. Precisely as a decision to create a material that could be highly competitive and equipped with the best possible performances, the first specific plant project was developed for the creation of glass fiber meshes impregnated with special insulating resins and completely polymerized. The same plant allowed further development within the Structural Reinforcement Networks and CONDORDIELETRIC was able to significantly increase the range of products made to offer on the electromechanical industry market.
since 2005
At CONDOR, quality represented an indispensable prerequisite and for this reason it was decided to start the procedures to obtain an important recognition such as ISO 9000:2001 certification.
This step made it possible to formalize and organize all the know-how and company attention in a structured and organic way, laying the foundations for future development.
since 2014
The focus of attention on Research and Development, the resources allocated to the development of new solutions and products grows considerably and at the same time important investments are made in laboratory instrumentation and production instrumentation, allowing the operational possibilities of CONDOR to be pushed ever higher and determine the ability to analyze and resolve more and more cases of problems and/or improvements requested by the market in order to reach new markets and/or new applications.
An example concerns the Fire and Smoke certifications obtained for particular insulating materials fundamental for the construction of electrical transformers to be installed on trains for the transport of people. In this panorama, obtaining certifications according to the European Standard EN 45545 has allowed us to become one of the few manufacturers able to offer highly performing materials with the best fire behavior on the European and international market.
